🍲 Paav Bhaji
Mumbai’s favorite street food, now in your kitchen. This dehydrated Pav Bhaji mix is packed with spices, vegetables, and flavor. Just add water, simmer, and serve with buttered pav.
🍲 Pav Bhaji Preparation Guide (Using Dehydrated Mix)
🔸 Ratio:
- Dry Mix: 100 g
- Water: 300 ml
- Yield: ~400 ml of bhaji (serves 3-4)
🧑🍳 Cooking Instructions:
- Rehydrate the Mix:
- In a bowl, combine 100 g Pav Bhaji mix with 300 ml warm water.
- Stir thoroughly to remove lumps and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Cook the Bhaji:
- Heat 1 tbsp butter or oil in a pan.
- Add the rehydrated mix and cook on medium heat for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Optional: Add boiled and mashed vegetables like potatoes, peas, cauliflower, and capsicum for added texture and flavor.
- Adjust salt and spice if needed.
- Toast the Pav:
- Slice pav buns horizontally.
- Heat butter on a tawa, sprinkle pav bhaji masala, and toast the buns until golden.
- Serve:
- Plate the bhaji, top with a dollop of butter.
- Serve with toasted pav, chopped onions, lemon wedges.
- Garnish with coriander.
