Care Guide

  • Light: Jade Plants thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them near a sunny window where they can receive several hours of sunlight each day. However, they can tolerate lower light conditions, although growth may be slower.
  • Watering: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering is one of the most common issues with Jade Plants and can lead to root rot. Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil is dry, and ensure excess water drains away.
  • Soil: Plant Jade Plants in well-draining soil mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging, which can be detrimental to the plant's health.
  • Humidity: Jade Plants are adaptable to various humidity levels and do well in average indoor humidity. They do not require misting or additional humidity.
  • Fertilization: Feed Jade Plants with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
  • Pruning: Prune Jade Plants to remove dead or leggy growth and to maintain their desired shape. Use clean, sharp pruning shears to make clean cuts, and avoid cutting into healthy tissue.
