The Traditional Chabda | Handcrafted Grass Hot Pot

"Experience the ancient Himalayan secret to the perfect Roti."

Stop settling for soggy, sweat-soaked chapatis. In the heart of the Himalayas, we’ve used a natural solution for centuries. Be Pahari brings you the Traditional Chabda—a masterpiece of functional art that allows your food to breathe while keeping it warm.

Why the Traditional Chabda?

  • The "Breathable" Advantage: Unlike steel or plastic casseroles that trap steam and turn your rotis wet, the intricate weave of Sikki Grass allows moisture to escape while the natural fibers act as a thermal insulator. Your rotis stay soft, dry, and fresh for longer.

  • 100% Organic & Chemical-Free: Hand-woven using wild-harvested Sikki (Golden Grass) and natural Sutli (Jute). No plastics, no toxic coatings, and zero microplastic leaching.

  • Natural Antibacterial Properties: Sikki grass is scientifically known for its resistance to mold and bacteria, ensuring a hygienic environment for your family's daily bread.

  • A Piece of Heritage: Every Binna is a "Slow Made" product. It takes hours of patient hand-weaving in Shimla to create a single piece, preserving a thousand-year-old Himachali craft.

Care & Preservation (The Golden Rules)

To ensure your Traditional Chabda lasts well beyond its 15-year warranty, please follow these traditional care steps:

  1. Moisture Control: Always wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Never soak in water or put in a dishwasher.

  2. Sun-Kissed Glow: Once a month, place your Traditional Chabda in direct sunlight for 15–20 minutes. This naturally disinfects the grass and maintains its signature golden luster.

  3. Natural Breathing: If used for very wet rotis, leave the lid open for 5 minutes after use to allow any trapped moisture to clear.
