But with billions of active users, it still gives you the opportunity to have a lot of eyes see your product.<\/p>\n<p>Isn\u2019t that great?<\/p>\n<p>Now, how do you get started using the world of Facebook to get your online business noticed?<\/p>\n<p>Well, you need a solid and focused Facebook marketing strategy, just like the one we\u2019ve made for you here.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s get into everything you need to know about Facebook marketing!<\/p>\n<h2>What is Facebook Marketing?<\/h2>\n<p>Facebook marketing, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketing-schools.org\/types-of-marketing\/facebook-marketing\/#section-0\" data-lasso-id=\"1023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marketing Schools<\/a>, is creating and using a Page (you\u2019ll see how it looks in the following section) as a way to contact and attract customers.<\/p>\n<p>So, any page (or Facebook asset) that you use to talk to your customers counts as marketing on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhat are Facebook assets?\u201d<\/em> you might ask. That\u2019s next.<\/p>\n<h2>Facebook Assets<\/h2>\n<p>The best part about Facebook is that you have plenty of options (both free and paid) to get the word out about your business. Plus, you&#8217;re not limited to just using one. You can use all of them.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a closer look at what these are.<\/p>\n<h3>Personal Profile (This is you)<\/h3>\n<p>The personal profile is what you need to get started on Facebook. Then upload a picture and your profile is pretty much complete.<\/p>\n<p>But what if you\u2019re a very private person? What if you don\u2019t feel comfortable giving your personal information to Facebook? Is it possible to forgo setting up a personal profile?<\/p>\n<p>Sorry to burst your bubble, but the answer is <em>\u201cNo.\u201d<\/em> For all Facebook activities, you will need a personal profile.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for this is Facebook wants to make sure you\u2019re a real person. Because that way, they\u2019ll know that what you\u2019re selling or that any page you set up is most likely a legitimate operation.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, having a personal profile will be great for your business.<\/p>\n<p>You can add your friends, post what you\u2019re selling, and they will see it in their newsfeed, which means you\u2019ll get free exposure.<\/p>\n<h3>Facebook Page (This is us)<\/h3>\n<p>A Facebook page is great for marketing businesses because it gives you access to a wider audience. You can also post food-related memes, news, and holidays. That way, your audience won\u2019t get tired of seeing you sell, sell, sell.<\/p>\n<p>In social media, only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/tanya-hall\/the-new-80\/20-rule-of-social-media.html\" data-lasso-id=\"1025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">20%<\/a> of your posts should be promotional. If it seems like something they would enjoy, post it. Don\u2019t feel bad &#8211; you have a life, after all.<\/p>\n<h3>Facebook Groups (Them)<\/h3>\n<p>Facebook groups are groups formed by people who have common interests. Let\u2019s go back to the example of you selling food. Are you selling home-cooked desserts like cakes or brownies or cookies?<\/p>\n<p>If yes, you can join a food group in your area, where people looking for home-cooked treats can buy from you. It\u2019s going to be a good place to share great cooking tools, events, and baking products.<\/p>\n<p>Another way you can use Facebook groups is to start one for your own business. For example, if you make a group for your regular customers, they\u2019ll be the first ones to get an update if you have sales or release a new product.<\/p>\n<p>You can even make a general food group and invite other people to join, whether they\u2019re sellers or buyers. And, if it becomes popular, perhaps you can even charge sellers for pinning posts of their products at the top of the group.<\/p>\n<h3>Facebook Marketplace (Buy stuff, Sell stuff..)<\/h3>\n<p>Facebook Marketplace is where users of the platform can look for, buy and also sell items. (Please take note that for this option, you\u2019ll have to use your personal profile).<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re using a desktop or laptop, it\u2019s conveniently located on the left panel. . And that\u2019s a whole lot less effort on your part.<\/p>\n<h3>Facebook Business Manager Account<\/h3>\n<p>Now here\u2019s where it&#8217;s going to get slightly challenging, but I promise to make it as simple as possible. The goal of boosting posts is to get more likes, comments, and shares for your posts.<\/p>\n<p>Use this if you just want to get engagement for your posts. This tool lets people see that you\u2019re out there and that your online business exists.<\/p>\n<p>Boosting posts costs money. When you boost a post, Facebook will spend your budget showing it to people who it thinks will most likely react, share, or comment on your post.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s pretty easy to do. Just go to your page and find the post you want to boost. Select the \u201cBoost Post\u201d option, which you will find at the bottom-right of your post.<\/p>\n<p>If you can\u2019t find that button, please know Facebook doesn\u2019t hate you and you didn\u2019t do anything wrong. It just means that boosting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/help\/244044399504197?id=352109282177656\" data-lasso-id=\"1031\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">isn\u2019t available for that particular post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Once you press Boost, you will get to choose the following details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Audience<\/strong>: Choose the people you want to see your post. You can use videos or still images. It\u2019s basically you putting whatever you are selling on your feed.<\/p>\n<p>When you post organically to your account, the people who will usually see it are your followers, your followers\u2019 followers, and people following any hashtags you use (make sure to set your post\u2019s privacy to public, or else only your friends will see).<\/p>\n<p>Organic is one of the best ways to start connecting with your customers.<\/p>\n<p>It lets you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establish your brand\u2019s personality<\/li>\n<li>Build your relationships with various prospects<\/li>\n<li>Turn your customers into loyal, raving fans via your posts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, while organic selling is important, you have to remember that when it comes to selling, organic is not predictable.<\/p>\n<p>The reality is that only a few of your followers will see your posts <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.hubspot.com\/marketing\/facebook-organic-reach-declining#:~:text=Why%20Your%20Organic%20Reach%20Has%20Declined%20on%20Facebook&amp;text=There&#039;s%20simply%20too%20much%20content,surfacing%20all%20the%20content%20available.\" data-lasso-id=\"1041\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">because their reach keeps decreasing over time<\/a>. Keep up the conversation, even by simply greeting them or cheering them on. That way, they\u2019ll know you see them more like people you\u2019re selling to.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote your group using your page and your personal profile<\/strong>.
