Ingredients Required
1) 1 Medium Sized Onion.
2) 1.5 Cup Oil/Ghee (120 Gms).
3) 500 Gms Chicken / Mutton.
4) 400 Gms Golden Sela Rice.
5) 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste.
6) 1 Cup Curd (150 Gms).
Steps of Cooking
1) Soak 400 grams of Golden Sela rice in water for 2 hours. Now take 500 grams chicken or mutton and add 150 grams whipped curd, 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, half teaspoon salt and paste of 1 medium sized tomato and keep it aside.
2) Now take 1.5 cups of oil in a pressure cooker and fry 1 medium sized sliced onion and 4 to 5 green chillies until they turn golden. Now slow down the flame and add mutton or chicken (marinated) in it, Do not fry, just mix it well and, cover the cooker and cook the chicken for 10 minutes and the mutton for 20 minutes on medium flame. Now open the cooker and add Awadh Biryani Masala and fry for a while so that the oil separates from the masala.
3) Now add 2 glasses (600 ml) of water in it and take out the pre-soaked Sela rice from the water and put it in the cooker and after one whistle on high flame, reduce the gas flame to minimum and cook on low flame for 10 to 15 minutes. (Your delicious Hyderabadi Dum Biryani is ready to serve.)
