The district of Sangli is located in the fertile lowlands of the Krishna river, here, Agriculture remains the most important industry and is an integral part of the local livelihood. Rapid industrialization however has spurred up opportunities for the Agro industry to advance and bloom ahead, through modernization of the Industry, giving way for traditional and modern farming techniques to work together in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Mahabal Agro is a set up that has sprung from passion and sheer dedication of the new Mahabal family generation. Being aware of the rapidly growing consumer demand for fresh, safe and hygienic agricultural products, Mahabal Agro is a solution meant to serve all, its consumers and the local farmers who tirelessly put in efforts to grow our food.
The Agro industry in Sangli has been facing several issues due to many affecting factors one of them being the intensive irrigation system causing salinization of the soil driving continuing infertility in some of its regions. Growing up in Sangli and being deeply rooted with the local farming communities, Mahabal Agro is well known to the problems related to farming sector in India which range from the right price being paid to its farmers to the need for research & development, for stronger, cleaner and sustainable processes.
At Mahabal Agro we aim to solve this problem by continuously exploring and researching farming techniques, adopting a mix of modern and traditional to develop farming processes which are efficient and sustainable for the world today.
