Dulux Exterior Acrylic Primer is a high quality specially designed high-quality primer for external plaster surface to improve adhesion between the wall and topcoat material. Proper application of this special acrylic based formulation imparts non- chalking, and high adhesion property, thus resisting in peeling, flacking of topcoat.

Application Description

Step 1 : Surface Preparation Freshly Plastered surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. It is recommended to allow at least 12 weeks as the curing time for new masonry surfaces. For best results the moisture content of the wall should be less than 10%. Ensure surface is thoroughly clean, dry and free from all loose dirt, chalk, grease, fungi, algae and flaking paint. This can be achieved by brushing with a wire/stiff coir brush, followed by water jetting if required 

Step 2 : Application process Dilute 1litre of Dulux Exterior Acrylic Primer with Maximum 1 litre of water. Apply 1 coat of Dulux Exterior Acrylic Primer and allow a drying time of 4-6 hours before applying topcoat. If there is putty application, then it is recommended to apply the priming coat below and above the putty. 

Step 3 : Drying time Touch dry for Dulux Exterior Acrylic Primer is up to 1 hour and recoat time is within 4-6 hours.
