Blood Ketone - D3HB
The blood ketone (D3HB) test measures the total number of ketones in the blood. In the absence of glucose to the body cells as an energy source, fat metabolism produces ketones. Ketones are also produced when the body is unable to use glucose as fuel because of no or less insulin.
