Raw material, kewda flowers are heated.

Vapour from the raw material is passed through pure sandalwood oil.

The sandalwood oil captures the fragrance of the raw material.

This final sandalwood oil, with the raw material’s fragrance, is called sandalwood distilled attar.
Note: Some manufacturers use a chemical base called DOP (dioctyl phthalate) instead of sandalwood oil to keep prices low, but DOP is not considered good for the skin. At Shree Ji Ittar, you get attars made on a pure sandalwood oil base, crafted for quality and safe, traditional use.
