Tiger eye stone, also known as tiger's eye, is a chatoyant gemstone jeweler known for its golden-brown color and silky sheen. It's a variety of quartz with a unique optical effect caused by the parallel alignment of crocidolite fibers within the stone. This effect, called chatoyancy, gives the stone its distinctive shimmering appearance, resembling a tiger's eye.
