Crushed sand, also known as manufactured sand (M-sand), is produced by mechanically crushing rocks, quarry stones, or larger aggregates into fine particles. Unlike natural sand, which is obtained from riverbeds or other natural sources, crushed sand is artificially created to achieve a specific consistency and size, typically less than 4.75 mm.
Crushed sand is widely used in construction, especially for concrete production, due to its superior strength and durability. It has a more angular and rough texture compared to natural sand, which enhances its bonding ability with cement. Additionally, crushed sand is eco-friendly as it reduces the need for riverbed sand mining, helping to preserve natural ecosystems.
