Our Beliefs & Ethos

Why Earthy tweens?

Every year, the fashion industry uses 93 billion cubic metres of water – enough to meet the consumption needs of five million people.
Around 20% of wastewater worldwide comes from fabric dyeing and treatment.
Of the total fibre input used for clothing, 87% is incinerated or disposed of in a landfill.
The fashion industry is responsible for 10% of annual global carbon emissions.
Every year, we dump half a million tons of plastic micro-fibers into the ocean, the equivalent of 50 billion plastic bottles.

At Earthy tweens we believe that Our kids need a cleaner planet. The environmental impact of producing conventional fabrics, applying non-eco dyes and using harmful finishing chemicals ultimately gets swallowed up by our oceans and air. The textile industry is responsible for 20% of all industrial water pollution worldwide. Textile factories often release their untreated chemical waste into rivers, which causes all sorts of problems for the people and animals that rely on it. Mother Earth looks after our children, so let’s together look after her.

Our clothing line includes a range of gender-neutral pieces, ethically made with organic cotton that is certified under Global Organic Textile Standards. What this means is that the cotton is grown sustainably, without the use of harmful chemicals, pesticides, or toxins. Similarly our Toys range comprise of Eco Friendly & Wooden products which foster natural creativity , interest and child curiosity and brings them closer to our natural environment .

Synthetic fabrics such as polyester, acrylic and nylon on the other hand can take anywhere from 20 to 200 years to decompose. Many of us are already aware of the ever-growing textile waste problem our planet is facing - with landfills being piled sky-high, and brands burning excess inventory as they have nowhere to store it. With Earthy Tweens Earth friendly products it’s nice to know that When children’s clothing or toys are through their useful life, they will naturally go away !

Sustainability, fairness, and honesty are the core of Earthy tweens . We believe in style, not trends, so they create clothing that will last. Our clothing is: intentional (full traceability of their products and clothing that is designed for circularity), impactful (fair employment in their supply chain, eco-friendly fabrics, eliminate.

Us & You

We all know that the skin is our largest organ. We’re so careful with, and spend hundreds on the products we put onto our skin, though there is something that does not make sense. What we seem to be forgetting is that the clothes we’ve purchased from our favourite fast fashion boutiques were soaked with chemicals at every stage of their production and have ended up on our bodies. That’s just some food for thought. From both a social and environmental viewpoint, ethical fashion is the only fashion model that should exist on this planet. We should bother with ethical fashion because we’re human. We should bother with ethical fashion because we want to continue existing on this beautiful planet. The rate at which we’re using resources isn’t sustainable for mother earth. We should bother with ethical fashion, because “there is no beauty in the finest cloth if it makes hunger and unhappiness.”

Similarly , Providing children with toys made of natural materials like wood, fabric, rubber, bamboo etc can garner interest and generate curiosity. Children connect much faster to their environment and surroundings with such materials, leading to heightened imagination and creativity. Toys made of natural materials foster creativity and discovery.

“The best way to make a contribution in fashion is to promote the idea that a fundamental interest in preserving the environment is itself fashionable.”
