Who are we?

FarmerNextDoor was born out of a quest to make farming accessible to urban dwellers. We want to create curiosity and drive participation among the next generation towards growing their own food.

We have developed a farm that grows and home delivers vegetables to consumers in Gurgaon. This farm uses natural farming techniques, heirloom seeds sourced directly from farmers, and order-based harvesting, ensuring the freshest possible produce to the consumer.

Team

 

J. Anand Kaushik – An industrial engineer, M.S.(USA) & 15 years experience with leading auto ancillary manufacturers. Led new product development building engine parts, glass for passenger cars and instrument clusters for OEMs. Pursued the dream of building a business in the sustainability space and over the past year, invested in training courses on upcoming technologies such as Hydroponics, and in natural farming.

 

 

 

 

Anuradha J. Naresh – An MBA (ISB) grad and a Chartered Accountant, worked in finance roles spanning investment, financial analysis and auditing. With the intent of making a meaningful impact, moved away from a corporate career to the development sector 5 years ago. Worked in impact investing and led investments for startups in sectors such as agriculture, skilling and rural manufacturing. Headed the finance function at a leading non-profit working in the field of hunger-eradication.
