Our Textile's Story

Every Kara Weaves textile is born from a meticulous, time-honored process in Kerala, India.

It begins with sourcing and preparing the cotton yarn—washing, dyeing with low-impact methods, and drying. Artisans then execute the complex pre-looming steps, setting up the warp threads. The weaving itself is done by hand on traditional wooden looms in certified Fair Trade co-operatives. This slow process honors craftsmanship. Finally, each piece undergoes a rigorous in-house quality check before stitching.
