60–80 GSM Muslin
This is a very lightweight and airy muslin, ideal for soft scarves, light overlays, delicate summer garments, baby wraps, breathable covers and decorative textile applications. It has a gentle transparency and an extremely soft fall, making it suitable for products where lightness and breathability are the main requirements.
80–100 GSM Muslin
This is one of the most popular muslin weights for baby and lifestyle products. It is soft, breathable and easy to handle, making it suitable for swaddles, baby blankets, burp cloths, nursing covers, muslin towels, baby apparel, sleepwear and soft summer clothing. It offers the right balance between airiness and usability.
100–120 GSM Muslin
This medium-light muslin has slightly more body while still retaining the softness and breathability of the fabric. It is ideal for kidswear, women’s tops, relaxed shirts, kaftans, dresses, co-ord sets, lounge pants, light home textiles and premium printed products. It gives better opacity and structure while keeping the natural comfort of muslin intact.
120–140 GSM Muslin
This is a fuller and slightly thicker muslin suitable for garments and products that require more coverage, strength and durability. It can be used for structured baby bedding, soft quilts, cushion covers, relaxed clothing, premium lounge sets, casual shirts and lifestyle accessories. It provides a richer fabric feel while maintaining the muslin’s natural softness.
140 GSM and Above
Heavier muslin qualities are used where more body, layering or durability is required. These can be suitable for baby bedding, soft home furnishings, quilted products, heavier loungewear, craft-based textiles and premium lifestyle collections. This thickness gives a more substantial hand-feel while still offering the organic charm of cotton muslin.
