How is our quality?

OKAY, Here is something to learn on QUALITY. 

 

For understanding quality of any product we need to undetsand how to measure it.

There are somestandard practices and test in the market to test quality of products of any brand or company.

Cycle test:  Here we test the functional aspect , and build quality of the product which                         tells us about the life of the product when put to actual use.

                       Generally our functional products like telescopic channel and cabinet                                 hinges are tested for 50,0000 cycle test, that means actually in the                                       testing labs they do open and close  a product for 50,000 times via a                                   robotic arm and a digital counter and see if it functions properly after                                 50,000 cycle test.

Salt spray Test:

                      Another major causes of complaint in our industry is rusting issue                                        espicially in areas which have high moisture areas like kitchen and                                      bathrooms, which are prone to water exposure.

Methodology in Testing: 

                      They actually put our product in a small machine which has highly brine                            water sprayed over it for 48 hours, and product is removed and checked if                        it has formed any red rust.

                      Generally all products are made of mild steel and coated with nickel or                              zinc to prevent rusting.

 Payload testing:

                     All products are designed to withstand some particular weights as per                               actual usage.so when we say for example our telescopic channel can                                   withstand 45kgs payload capacity it means if u put a  weight of 45 kgs                              it should perform well in its cycle test condition,

                    So in labs we do cycle testing laden with weights.

 

Now, all this knowledge is good. But WHO does it and how frequently?

                 There are international Agencies like SGS and of course many indian labs                         which do these testing. So when we buy our goods from manufacturing units                    in China we have a policy to always get goods tested for quality by third                             party testing agency like SGS before actually taking delivery.
