Cyclic Timers

Cyclic Timers

Cyclic Timers are devices designed to automatically switch a motor ON and OFF at specied intervals. Users can easily adjust the ON (running) time and OFF (waiting) time through a digital display and control keys. Once set, the motor operates for the designated ON time, then remains OFF for the specied OFF time before repeating the cycle. These timers feature a
built-in state-saving function, which ensures that in the event of a power outage, the timer retains the programmed settings and resumes operation from where it left off when power is restored. Cyclic Timers are compatible with all types of motors and can be integrated with existing motor starters, providing a reliable and efcient solution for automated motor control.
Cyclic Timers are available for all types of Single Phase and 3 Phase Motors, as well as for lighting loads, and can be easily connected to existing motor starters.

Need for Cyclic Timers:
Cyclic Timers are highly versatile devices used in various agricultural, domestic, and commercial applications. Here are some key scenarios where they are particularly benecial:
1. Low Water Availability in Borewells: In areas with low groundwater levels, motors can only pump water for a limited time before running dry. By setting the ON time just short of when the pump would go dry and the OFF time for the approximate recharge duration, Cyclic Timers help optimize water usage and protect the motor from damage due to dry running.
2. Excess Water Availability: When water supply is abundant, Cyclic Timers can regulate
watering by setting specic ON times for irrigation and longer OFF times, such as for a
day. This prevents over watering of crops, ensuring optimal moisture levels.
3. Hydroponics: In hydroponic systems, which grow plants in water with timed nutrient
delivery, Cyclic Timers are essential for controlling nutrient sprays, making them
indispensable for this technology.
4. Misting Systems in Poultry Farms: Poultry farms use misting systems to maintain
optimal temperatures, especially during summer. Cyclic Timers can be set to operate
foggers at short intervals, helping maintain the desired climate and prevent heat stress
on livestock.
5. Commercial Complexes: In commercial buildings, Cyclic Timers can manage water
pumps to maintain consistent water levels in overhead tanks, ensuring washrooms and
other facilities have a continuous supply without overlling.
6. Air Conditioners: Cyclic Timers can regulate air conditioners in homes and ofces by
cycling them ON and OFF at intervals, maintaining a comfortable temperature while
signicantly reducing electricity consumption and lowering energy bills.
7. Horticulture: For horticultural crops, Cyclic Timers control misting systems to maintain
the right humidity levels, essential for crop growth and health.
8. Floral Crop Temperature Control: Certain oral crops require high humidity at night to
thrive. Cyclic Timers can automate the ON/OFF cycles of lighting systems, such as
incandescent bulbs, to maintain optimal conditions and enhance yield.
9. Maintenance of Domestic Borewell Motors: In homes with both municipal and borewell
water sources, Cyclic Timers can keep borewell pumps in good condition by running
them periodically, preventing motor failure due to infrequent use.
10. Domestic Motor Pumps: Cyclic Timers are useful for domestic water management,
allowing homeowners to control motor operation times to prevent overuse and
conserve water, especially in rental properties where landlords may want to regulate
water usage.
These use cases demonstrate how Cyclic Timers effectively manage water, temperature, and
energy consumption across a wide range of settings, providing both convenience and
protection for motors and other connected devices.
