These forceps are primarily used in strabismus surgery, to prevent slipping on the muscles after it has been disinserted. This is a forceps-shaped clamp with an angled shaft and scaled jaws. Jaws are 1 mm teeth which fit into corresponding holes on the other jaw. This ensures that muscle does not slip after it has been clamped . There is a slide lock on the serrated handle which allows these forceps to be locked in the clamped position. It has two variants, left and right, for each hand of the surgeon.
