Bajre Ki Kichdi
This wholesome one pot dish is what comfort food is all about! With the goodness of pearl millet (bajra) and moth, this cereal-pulse combination beautifully complements each other to nourish your soul and body alike!
Ingredients you’ll need
· 3 tbsp Farm to Fellas Moth Bajri ki Khichdi
· 2 tsp Farm to Fellas Desi Cow Ghee
· ½ tomato, finely chopped
· ½ onion, finely chopped
· ½ tsp Farm to Fellas Turmeric Powder
· ½ tsp cumin seeds
· Grated ginger
· Salt to taste
· chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
- Wash the moth bajri ki khichdi a couple of times till the water runs clear.
- In a pressure cooker, heat a tsp of desi ghee, add in cumin seeds and saute till they crackle.
- Add in grated ginger and saute till it turns golden brown
- Mix in chopped onions and fry till they appear translucent. Add in the tomatoes and saute for a couple of minutes.
- Mix in turmeric and salt and saute this mixture for a while.
- Mix in the washed bajra and moth mixture. Add in 2-3 glasses of water and pressure cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with desi ghee and chopped coriander!
