Here is a delicious way to include Farm to Fellas organic, traditionally processed and responsibly sourced pulses – sprouts! This process enhances the nutritional value by increasing the amount of Fibre, Vit C, Vit B, calcium, iron, zinc and reduces the amount of phytates, thereby increasing absorption and improving digestibility, taste and texture.
Ingredients you’ll need:
· 1 tbsp Farm to Fellas whole moong dal
· 1 tbsp Farm to Fellas kala chana
· ½ tomato
· ½ onion
· Salt to taste
· lemon juice
· chopped coriander leaves
Procedure
- Wash and soak whole moong dal and chana and leave overnight until they swell up in size. Tie them up in a moist muslin cloth for around 5-6 hours until they sprout.
- To these, add in finely chopped onions, tomatoes or any other vegetable available at home, the limit is your imagination!
- Sprinkle freshly squeezed lemon juice, garnish with chopped coriander and voila! Wasn’t that easy?
