Besan ka halwa
One of the most delicious yet simple indian desserts - besan ka halwa! With a hint of cardamom in every bite, this halwa is protein-rich and perfect for those on a keto diet. Let’s start!
Ingredients you’ll need
- 1 cup Farm to Fellas besan (chickpea flour)
- ½ cup Farm to Fellas Desi ghee
- 1 cup Farm to Fellas Jaggery (crushed/powdered)
- 2 cups water
- 1/2tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)
Procedure
- Dry roast the besan on a low flame with constant stirring, ensuring no lumps remain.
- Once the besan has turned slightly brown, add in the ghee and stir well.
- Add in the water and the jaggery together, ensuring it dissolves completely and gets incorporated properly in the halwa
- Finally, sprinkle some cardamom powder, garnish with chopped nuts and serve hot!
